Abstract
The theories and methods of satellite data analysis, hot island effect analysis, landscape layout analysis, and ecological effect analysis are applied in the planning of the green space system planning in Chengdu. With the analysis of history and current situation, the general target and periodical index of building a ecological and picturesque city surrounded by clear water and green trees in 2004~2020 are proposed. The structure, layout and category of green space system in the city region, city proper, and central city are planned and controlled.
