Pharmacoeconomic Evaluation of Three Kinds of Quinolones in the Treatment of Senile Pneumonia

Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the therapeutic efficacy and pharmacoeconomic results of three kinds of quinolones in treatment of senile pneumonia.METHODS:186senile patients with pneumonia were randomly divided into three groups,who were given ofloxacin,levofloxacin and lomefloxacin respectively.Therapeutic effects were observed and pharmacoeconomic analysis was carried out.RESULTS:The effective rates of three groups were80.65%,87.1%and72.58%,while the adverse drug reaction rates were7.65%,6.35%and13.81%,and the cost-effectiveness ratios were2176,3464and3732respecˉtively.CONCLUSION:Pharmacoeconomic analysis indicated that ofloxacin was superior to both levofloxacin and lomefloxacin.
