Pharmacoeconomic evaluation of three therapeutic regimens for senile pneumonia

Objective:To analyze pharmacoeconomics of therapeutic regimens of different drugs in the management of the same disease,senile pneumonia.Methods:In a retrospective study,a total of 115 patiens with senile pneumonia were enrolled and divided into 3 groups according to their therapeutic regimens:cefuroxime + levofloxacin (group A),cefodizime(group B),and cefoperazone + sulbactam(group C).The therapeutic effects were compared by the cost-effectiveness analysis method.Results:The costs were RMB 3073.46,4248.96 and 4955.89 Yuan,and the effective rates were 84.6%,85.0%and 86.1%,respectively,in groups A,B and C.The results of sensitivity analysis were consistent with the described results.Conclusion:In pharmacoeconomics,the therapeutic regimen of cefuroxime + levofloxacin is superior to those of cefodizime and cefoperazone + sulbactam.
