Multivariate Statistical Analysis on Economic Development of Each City in Shanxi Province

To determine the economic development of each city in Shanxi province,a multivariate statistical analysis is made by applying the principal component analysis,factor analysis,nonparametric tests and clustering analysis to make a comprehensive evaluation and rank the economic development of 11 cities in Shanxi province.It is concluded that every area of Shanxi province should take actions by keeping in line with its local condition,adjusting and perfecting the industrial structure,establishing multi-industry system and bridging the gap between the urban and rural areas.
