Abstract
Objective To explore the accuracy of the combined approach of the contrast-enhanced ultrasonography(CEUS)and endoscopic ultrasound(EUS)in preoperative detection of insulinoma. Methods Forty-four instances with clinical and biochemical signs of pancreatic insulinoma underwent CT,EUS and CEUS.The accuracy of preoperative diagnoses location of the lesions were evaluated and compared between the combined approach of CEUS and EUS and CT.Results Of the 44 patients treated surgically,41 had CT with successful localization in 23(56.1%)by CT.Thirty three had the combined approach of CEUS and EUS.Thirty patients(90.9%)was localized successful. The analysis showed that the accuracy had a significant difference between the combined approach and CT(P0.05).Conclusions The sensitivity and the accuracy of CEUS and EUS are better than CT in preoperative detection of pancreatic insulinoma.
