Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between expression of p27 protein and carcinogenesis, development, histological type, depth of invasion, lymphnode metastasis of gastric carcinoma. Methods The expression of p27 protein was examined by S-P in gastric carcinoma and normal gastric mucosas, respectively. Results The positive rate of p27 protein expression was 31%(20/64) in gastric cancers which showed a significant difference from those of normal gastric mucosa(P0.05) .p27 expression might be related to lymphnode metastasis and depth of invasion and clinical stage in gastric carcinoma(P0.05) .Conclusions 1.p27 might play import suppressor role in the carcinogenesis and development of gastric carcinoma.2.Gastric carcinoma with low expression of p27 might easy lead to lymphnode metastasis and muscularis invasion.
