Expression of E-Cad in Gastric Carcinoma and its Clinical Significance

Abstract

Objective To determine the relationship of E-Cad expression in gastric carcinoma with gastric carcinoma behaviour.Methods Streptacidin/peroxidase(SP) technique was used to examine the expression of E-Cad in 38 cases of gastric carcinoma and normal gastric tissue.Results E-Cad expressed in all normal gastric tissue;in gastric carcinoma,expression of E-Cad showed positive,heterogeneous and negative type,it related with the gross type,growth type,invasive depth,and lymph node metastasis of gastric carcinoma.Conclusion Down-expression of E-Cad in gastric carcinoma significantly related with invasion and metastasis of gastric carcinoma.
