Determination of Baicalin Baicalein and Wogonin in Antai Pills by HPLC

Abstract

Objective To establish an HPLC method for determining the content of baicalin,baicalein and wogonin in Antai Pills.Methods The separation was carried out on an Agilent Zorbax SB-C_(18)(4.6 mm × 150 mm,5 μm).The mobile phase consisted of 0.1%phosphoric acid(A) and methanol(B),with gradient elution.The flow rate was 1.0 ml ·min~(-1),the detection wavelength was set at 275 nm,the column temperature was 25 ℃,the injection volume was 10 μl,and the running time was 45 min.Results The three compounds and the unknown were separated with baseline resolution.The linear range was 25.06- 501.2 μg ·ml~(-1)(r =0.9999) for baicalin,2.498-49.96 μg·ml~(-1)(r =0.9999) for baicalein,1.562-31.24 μg·ml~(-1) r =0.9999) for wogonin,respectively.The average recovery was 100.79%with RSD 1.32%for baicalin,101.12%with RSD 1.34%for baicalein and 101.73%with RSD 1.28%for wogonin(n =6).Conclusion This method is quick,user-friendly,accurate,robust and suitable for quality control of Antai Pills.
