Abstract
Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect of tripterygium wilfordii combined prostaglandin E1(PGE1)in treatment of arteriosclerosis obliterans(ASO) in lower extremity. Methods Totally 72 patients with ASO were randomly divided into the treatment group(36 cases) and the control group(36 cases). The treatment group had been treated with tripterygium wilfordii combined PGE1 for 2 courses of treatment. The control group had been treated only with PGE1 for 2 courses of treatment. Therapeutic effect was compared. Results The total effective rate of the treatment group and the control group is 91.67% and 72.22% respectively. Two groups had significant differnce(P0. 01). Conclusion The therapeutic effect of tripterygium wilfordii combined PGE1 is superior to that of the PGE1 only in treatment of ASO in lower extremity. Further study should be carried out for its low price and abundant medicinal herbs.
