Abstract
In its long period of development, English grammar has experienced a variety of transformations in its forming,improving and perfecting.Now formed in Grammar Circle are a number of grammatical schools which are distinguished from each other and each of which has its own remarkable view. This article begins with the historical development of English grammar, making an in-depth analysis on the characteristics of each grammatical school and illustrating the systems of English grammar briefly and systematically.
