Abstract

English grammar is thought as one of the most important parts in both language learning and teaching. While few people know there is more than one kind of English grammar. This essay provides the features and comparison between two commonly used English grammar, namely descriptive grammar and prescriptive grammar, and assist English teachers to explore further in grammar teaching.
