Abstract

Objective: To study the long-term effect of mifepristone in the treatment of uterine leiomyoma. Methods: Mifepristone was administered at a daily dosage of 25 mg for 3 months 1n 32 women with uterine leiomyoma. Results: The size of the uterus decreased by 38.10% after 3 months of treatment with mifeprinstone. But the tumour began to grow after the treatment stopped and returned to the size as before. Conclusions: Mifepristone has a short-term effect in the treatment of uterine leiomyoma.
