The clinical study of mifepristone treatment for uterine leiomyomas

Objective To study the effects of mifepristone in treating uterine leiomyoma. Methods Forty women with uterine leiomyoma were in our study. They were all treated with mifepristone 12.5mg/day for three months. Results The clinical symptoms improved obviously in these patients. Mifepristone lead to menoschesis and ameliorating anaemia. It also could shorten menses and reduce menstrual bleeding when the patients menstruate coming back .Some premenopause women became menopause. Conclusions Mifepristone is an effective medicine in uterine leiomyoma treatment.
