Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between morning blood pressure surge(MBPS)and the early stage of renal function damage in patients with essential hypertension.Methods According to the levels of MBPS,totally 252 consecutive essential hypertensive patients were divided MBPS group(MBPS≥23.6 mm Hg,64 cases)and non MBPS group(MBPS23.6 mm Hg,188 cases).The indexes,including ambulatory blood pressure monitoring,the serum and urine β2 MG,urine mAlb,the levels of blood BUN and Cr were measured and compared.Result In MBPS group,the indexes were significant higher than non-MBPS group(average P0.01),including morning systolic blood pressure(SBP),mean arterial pressure(MBP),pulse pressure(PP),morning heart rate,serum and urine β2-MG and urine mAlb.Conclusion It suggested that the essential hypertension with MBPS tended to damage renal function than those without MBPS.
