Abstract

Objective To compare the effect of on-pump and off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting(CABG) on myocardial and kidney injury in the early post-operative stage. Methods Sixty-six patients underwent CABG were equally randomized into on-pump group(group A) and off-pump group(group B).The cardiac troponin I(cTnI),creatine kinase MB(CK-MB),blood urea nitrogen(BUN),serum creatinine(SCr),serum cystatin(Cys) C,urine N-acetyl-beta-glucosaminidase(NAG) activity, endogenous creatinine clearance rate(Ccr) in two groups within 24 hours after CABG were compared. Results Compared with group B,the levels of cTnI,CK-MB,BUN,SCr and activity of urine NAG were increased in group A within 24 hours after CABG(P0.05).Conclusion Compared with on-pump CABG,off-pump CABG may attenuate the myocardial and renal injury in the early post-operative stage.
