Abstract
Unified planning of regional land use is a new and higher requirement in the unified planning of urban and rural development and regional development.This paper applies method of documentation in the preliminary discussion on the theory and methods of unified planning of regional land use,pointing out that land use zoning is the chief approach to realizing unified planning of regional land use.The paper analyzes three major zoning methods and explains three main types of zoning,i.e., zoning district,zoning function and zoning supporting capacity,and presents suggestions for the unified planning of regional land use in terms of organizational and spatial coordination.
