Abstract

Objective To compare the clinical effect between pioglitazone and rosiglitazone on type 2 diabetes with hyperlipemia. Methods From January 2008 to January 2009,84 cases of type 2 diabetes with hyperlipemia were randomly separated into pioglitazone group(42 cases) and rosiglitazone group(42 cases).Blood sugar and blood fat before and after treatment were observed. Results Compared with pre-treatment,FPG,2hPG and HbA1c were significantly decreased(P0.05) but HbA1c was no significantly changed(P0.05) in both two groups.Compared with pre-treatment,TG,TC,LDL and HDL were no significantly changed(P0.05)in rosiglitazone group;TG and TC were significantly decreased(P0.05),HDL was significantly increased(P0.05)but LDL was no significantly changed(P0.05).Moreover,TG and TC in pioglitazone group were significantly lower than those in rosiglitazone group(P0.05) and HDL in pioglitazone group was significantly higher than that in rosiglitazone group(P0.05).Conclusion Both pioglitazone and rosiglitazone have good effects on lowering blood sugar but pioglitazone has better effects in blood fat than rosiglitazone.
