Beijing Public Arts and the Culture Construction of Capital City

Public arts construction and production of city public culture and aesthetic space build the cultural image of the city and convey its cultural spirit. Since the founding of new China,as a national cultural center city,Beijing's urban sculpture or public arts has changed from unitary to cultural and aesthetic diversity as the city development orientation changed,and Beijing has constructed a variety of urban cultures and public art spaces. But in terms of quantity,esp. in terms of quality,compared with the world influencing cultural cities,Beijing's public arts and its position as a national cultural center city lag far behind. Therefore,Beijing's public arts will play a big role in the construction of national cultural center city and international metropolis in the future.
