Abstract

The urban public arts is the important conveyor and media of city's culture and character because of its broad existence and vivid image in portraying the city's stories,history,civilian life and social ideal which embodies the public spirit and ideas of the city.This paper illustrates the functions of urban public arts in portraying city's culture and character by combining the themes of public arts with public cultures.
