Abstract
Succinic acid is recovered from sodium succinate solution using bipolar membrane electrodialysis with three compartments. The influence of current for operating voltage, current efficiency, energy consumption and yield concentration of succinic acid are studied. The results showed that the yield concentration of succinic acid could exceed 52.55 g/L,the electric energy consumption is about 3.24 kWh/kg and the current efficiency is about 88%under the optimum operation current of 2.0 A for 1 L 0.5 mol/L sodium succinate solutions.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
