Abstract
A medium carbon Cr-Mn-Si low alloy wear resistant cast steel which is applied to transportation blade was designed.Researches on the heat treatment process of the steel were investigated,and microstructure analysis,hardness tests and impact toughness were also carried out.The results showed that the beginning austenization temperature was calculated to be 780℃,and the finishing temperature was 820℃.After being water or oil quenched at the temperature of 850-930 ℃,then the steel consisted of tempered martensite and retained austenite microstructure was obtained.With the increasing of the quenching temperature,the hardness of the steel will increase.But when the quenching temperature is higher than 880℃,the hardness tends to a balanced value.while the quenching temperature is higher than 910 ℃,the impact toughness decreases dramatically.
