Abstract
The microstructure and mechanical properties of 18Cr23MoVRE wear-resistant cast steel under different heat treatment condition were studied by series of experiments. The experiment results show that the microstructure of 18Cr23MoVRE wear-resistant cast steel consists of martensite,a small amount of retained austenite and carbide which existed dispersedly on the matrix after different quenching temperature and 300 ℃ tempering treatment. With the increase of quenching temperature, the hardness of the cast steel increases and the toughness decreases. When the quenching temperature is 1 000 ℃ and the tempering temperature is 300 ℃,the hardness reaches to HRC 58. 5 and the impact toughness is over 5. 0J. Compared with the as-cast steel, the hardness and impact toughness of the steel after quenching and tempering are improved by about 33% and 26%,respectively.
