Abstract

Objective: To sum up the structure and the function of heparanase, and correlations with gastrointestinal tumorigenesis and metastasis and their possible mechanism. Methods: Consulting related literatures home and abroad. Results and conclusion: Heparanase is the key enzyme to degrade extracellular matrix and closely related to tumor cell invasion and metastasis,become a novel cancer therapy target in gastrointestinal tumor.
