Abstract
Heparanase is the only mammalian heparin sulfate-degrading enzymes could cleave heparin sulfate(HS)which links to hepatan sulfate Proteoglycans(HSPGs),involved in many pathological and physiological processes.The relation of tumor invasion,metastasis and heparanase,its target of tumor therapy were reviewed to provide some clues for heparanase as a target for the treatment of tumor.
