Abstract
The Buddhism held an important position in the history of Buddism development.It was introduced by Han People and Bohai People to Qidan at first,and then it was advocated by the rulers,and it promoted the development and prosperity of Buddisim in Qidan area.The development of Buddism of Liao Dynasty was due to the need of the rulers,and at the same time it was also an outcome of the fusion of national cultures.
