Abstract

Objective To compare the clinical effect of insulin pump and conventional insulin therapy in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes, subcutaneous injection and improvement of islet β cell function were compared. Methods Totally 67 patients with type 2 diabetes were randomly assigned to continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion pump insulin therapy(CSII group) 35 cases and multiple subcutaneous insulin infusion treatment group(MSII group) 32 cases, were observed in fasting plasma glucose(FPG),postprandial 2h plasma glucose(2hPG),daily insulin dosage, blood glucose time and the incidence of low blood sugar. Results Both before and after treatment were significantly lower blood glucose(P0.01),but blood glucose difference between the two groups was not significant(P0.05),CSII group blood glucose was significantly shorter in the MSII group(P0.05),frequency of hypoglycemia was significantly less than the MSII group(P0.05).Conclusions The continuous subcutaneous infusion insulin pump more insulin secretion under physiological conditions, faster and more effectively reduce blood sugar, reduce the incidence of low blood sugar, while promoting the recovery of islet β cell function, the treatment of newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes has long-term significance.
