A Thought of the Information Service in a College Library under the Network Environment

Abstract

The development and application of electron,communication,network and information technologies have brought about great changes in the information service of a library,and have transformed the pattern of library from a substantial one into a virtual one;there are some new features in the information service of a library;in the new situation,a library should strengthen to cultivate the readers' ability to search for the information so as to meet the need for the rapid changes of society in the future based on developing the network,dealing with some relevant basic duties and promoting the quality of information service.
