Through a syntactic analysis of his prose, we can see that Liu Zongyuan's classical prose has inevitable connections with plan wen. Liu Zongyuan's sentence structure is characterized by a combination of prose and parallel writing and coexistence of simple style and flowery language. This conveys the literary a-chievements of the controversy of prose and plan wen, and illustrates that the evolution of literary forms interacts on each other.
