Abstract
In the medium of 0.18~1.08 mol· L~(-1) sulfuric acid, cerium(Ⅳ)reacts with tribromoarsenazo(TB-ASA) to produce color-fading reaction. The apparent molar absorptivity of the method is e_(532nm) = 6.20×10~3 L· mol~(-1)· cm~(-1).Cerium can be determined over the concentration range of 0.2~12μg·mL~(-1).The method was applied to the determination of microamount of cerium in molecular sieve with satisfactory results.
