Discovery and Reassessment: An Analysis of the Art of Chinese Classical Narrative Poetry

It is on the basis of the investigation, discovery and reassessment of the tradition and the theory of art of Chinese classical narrative poetry that the art of Chinese modern narrative poetry gains development and Chinese narrative literature develops academic studies. diligent studies show that Chinese classical narrative poems have three modes of narrative structure:realis tic spirit of writing, reporting or impressionistic narrative mode and simple narrative poetics and aesthetical principle, which make the art and narrative aesthetics of Chinese classical poetry essen- tially differ from Western narrative poetics and writing of narrative poetry. As an important part of Chinese narrative literature, the art and aesthetics of Chinese classical narrative poetry provide a necessary inner dynamic drive for development and a basic path for transmutation.
