Abstract
Objective To investigate the efficacy of somatostatin in the treatment of severe pancreatitis, and the impact of TNF-α.Methods 60 patients with severe pancreatitis were randomly divided into two groups:the control group received conventional therapy, the treatment group were given somatostatin on the basis of two groups were compared the efficacy of TNF-α before and after treatment changes. Results The total effective rate was higher than the control group(P0.05),and abdominal discomfort, abdominal tenderness and loss of time and serum amylase of the treatment group returned to normal time were significantly shorter than the control group(P0.05).After seven days of the treatment,TNF-α levels in both groups were significantly lower, and the treatment group was significantly lower than the control group(P0.05).Conclusion In the conventional treatment on the basis of severe acute pancreatitis combined with somatostatin is effective, can significantly improve the clinical symptoms and signs, which may inhibit the inflammatory mediators TNF-α related.
