Abstract

Objective:To explore the effect of somatostatin on severe acute pancreatitis (SAP) and expression of TNF-α.Method:Randomly divided 50 cases with SAP admitted from January 2008 to November 2009 into control group and observation group by average.Treated control group with conventional therapy, while the observation group with continuous intravenous drip of somatostatin 6 mg and 1 000mL of 0.9% soldiun chloride for 24h besides contiventional therapy. The course was 7-14d.Results:Clinic symptoms disappeared in both groups. There was significant difference between recovery time of blood amylase and urine amylase (P0.05).On the 7th day after admission, the level of TNF-α significantly decreased inobservation group (P0.05).Conclusion:Somatostatin can obviously promote the cure rate of pancreatitis by inhibiting the release of inflammatory factor, decreasing injury due to inflammatory factor, restraining the start of cytokine chain, and reducing endotoxaemia and systematic complication.
