Clinical Prognosis of Patients Receiving Myomectomy during Cesarean Section

Objective To summarize the clinical prognosis of myomectomy during cesarean section.Methods The clinical data of 122 pregnant women (2.36% of total delivery) who had undergone myomectomy during cesarean section between January 2005 and December 2007 were retrospectively analyzed.Results The average intraoperative blood loss was(186±52)ml.Follow-up was completed in 82 of 122 patients for 2～4 years.Tumors recurred in 6 patients (7.32%) 1.1～3.5 years after operation.One patient received a second operation.Conclusion Elective myomectomy during cesarean section is a feasible and safe;however,more follow-up should be performed to understand recurrence among these patients.
