Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the effect of vitrectomy for the treatment of complicated vitreoretinopathy. Methods: 58 cases(61 eyes) with complicated vitreoretinopathy were operated in a standard surgery of three-point vitrectomy, membrane peeling, retinal reattachment, endolaser coagulation, silicone oil tamponade and scleral buckling were applied when needed. Results: The patients were followed up for 3~13 months after surgery.Visual acuity got improved in 46 eyes(75%),postoperatively 12 eyes(20%) didn't change and 3 eyes(5%)deteriorated.Conclusion: vitrectomy obtains good results for complicated vitreoretinopathy.
