On the GeYiDiBi Policy Practised in Exploring Southwest China in West and East Han Dynasties

The GeYiDiBi Policy was made in west Han Dynasty when Emperor Wu explored Southwest China, it was enriched and improved in the course of exploring the same area dur- ing the West and East Han Dynasties. The main content of the policy was that on the basis of steady control of the northern part of shu the courot would govern Ba together with the n- atives of shu and govern and explore the middle part and southern part of Southwest China with the natives of shu and Ba. The policy was neatistic and successful and had a great influ- ence on later ages.
