Abstract
Purpose To study the inhibitory effects of allicin and its induction of apoptosis of mouse hepotocellular carcinoma cells MM45T.Li. Methods MTT,FCM and electron microscope were used to study the effects of allicin on MM45T.Li.DNA ladder pattern on agarose gel electrophoresis was used to observe the DNA fragmentation. Results MTT showed that the allicin inhibited MM45T.Li cells growth, and morphological apoptosis of MM45T.Li cells could be seen under electron microscope.Agarose gel electrophoresis showed eveident DNA fragmentation. It could arrest the cell in G_0/G_1,and proportions of apoptotic cells of contronl group and treated group were(4.98±4.841)% and(20.91±5.272)% respectively by flow cytometry. Conclusions Allicin inhibits MM45T.Li cells growth via apoptosis reduction.
