Abstract

Modernization is a common subject that all Chinese intellectuals had to face with in the 20th century. Unlike Chen Duxiu and Lu Xun, Zhang HenSui had a unique understanding of Chinese cultural modernization; of its value and path.He paid particular attention to Chinese traditional culture, and thought that it played a reasonably significant role towards the formation of modernization. His distinguishing contemporary popular novels formed a charming representative in the course of Chinese culture modernization.
