Nursing of malignant thoracic effusion drained and medicated with indwelling central venous catheters into thoracic cavity

In the paper, the authors report the way the central venous catheter (CVC) was used to drain and treat malignant thoracic effusion, its advantages as well as the way to nurse it. Proper operation could produce one hundred percent of successful puncture. Sound nursing of punctured location and catheter, prevention of catheter herniation and local infection to prolong the dwelling of catheter were able to ensure constant drainage of thoracic effusion and smooth medication into thoracic cavity.
