Abstract
The main study results are as follows:anther of Boenninghausenia albiflora is tetrasporangiate and its wall consists of an existent epidermis,fibrous endothecium,two middle layers and glandular tapetum.The tapetum's cells were polynucleate.Microspore tetrads are tetrahedral and simultaneous cytokinesis.the pollen grains are shed at 2-celled stage.Ovule is hemianatropous,bitegmic and crassinucellate.Micropyle is formed by both integument.Outer intergument is completely fibrous at the stage of mature embryo sac.Hypodermal archesporium is 2 or 3 cells;a single cell well developed into megaspore mother cell.Undergoes meiotic divisions,produces a linear tetrad.the chalazal megaspore developed into a polygonum type of embryo sac.The embryo sac contains 7-celled and 8nucleate,but quickly with three antipodal cells degenerated,two synergids fusions,the mature embryo sac consisted of 4-celled with four nuclei.The egg apparatus was well developed.The female and male gametophyte developed in different time.
