Abstract
Objective:To study the expression and significance of FUT1,FUT4 and LeY in normal endometrium, atypical hyperplasia of endometrium and endometrial carcinoma. Methods:The expression levels of LeY,FUT1 and FUT4 in adenocarcinoma of endometrium, atypical hyperplasia of endometrium, simple hyperplasia, complex hyperplasia and normal endometrium during proliferative phase were detected by immunohistochemistry.Results:FUT1,FUT4 and LeY didnt express in normal endometrium, and overexpressed in simple hyperplasia, complex hyperplasia, adenocarcinoma of endometrium and atypical hyperplasia of endometrium, which were located in cytomembrane and/or cytoplasm of glandular epithelial cells.Overexpression of LeY in endometrial carcinoma was related to histological grades, not clinical surgical-pathological staging.Conclusion:FUT1,FUT4 and LeY play an important role in oncogenesis and development of endometrial carcinoma, which may participate in early lesions of endometrial carcinoma.
