Abstract
An ion chromatography method with suppression-conductivity detection has been developed for the detection of residuary chlorate in the soil after explosion with a high concentration of nitrate.Chlorate can be detected in 8 minutes with one step gradient elution of KOH and a high capacity anion-exchange column. The detection limit is 2.67 ng/ml(S/N=3).The method has broad linearity range(0.01~1000μg/ml),good linear correlation(r=0.9998)and low RSD(0.98%).When applied in two cases, the average recovery rates were above 99%.The influence of nitrate was also studied, and nitrate at 3000μg/ml does not in- terfere the determination of low chlorate.
