Abstract
Objective To observe the influence of inorganic elements on healing and infection of the second degree burn wound.Methods Ninty-two patients with second degree burn wound were randomly divided into two groups.Group D was treated by inorganic elements and group V by vaseline gauze.Wound healing time was recorded and wound swab bacterial cultures were performed before and after treatment.Results To the same degree wounds,wound healing time was significantly shorter in group D than that in group V(P0.01).After treatment,the bacterium colonizations on wounds of group D was less than that of group V(P0.05).Conclusion Inorganic elements can accelerate the healing ofsecond degree burn wound and decrease the risk of wound infection.
