An Attempt Discussing About the Whereabouts Issue of "Yi" Ethnic Groups in Zang-Yi Corridor into Tang Dynasty

Yiwas an ethnical title which was widely distributed in Zang-Yi Corridor,but they had been disappeared wholly in the Chinese historical literature which recorded the history of Tang dynasty.The article points that Yiethnic groups had two whereabouts into Tang dynasty from analyzing the Chinese historical literature: on the one hand,they were conquered by To-bo;on the other hand,they had switched to called Man.On the same time,the author discusses the background of ethnical groups'name change fromYitoMan,and points that the views of nationality of Tang dynasty and the classification of ethnic groups in Zang-Yi Corridor had largely changed which compared with Han and Jin dynasty.
