Abstract

Huizhou merchants paid more attention to cultivation of their mind.Influenced by Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism, Huizhou merchants absorbed not only Confucian factors,but also Buddhism and Taoism factors.Huizhou merchants' moral philosophy had not only Confucian righteousness and filial piety,but also Buddhism anatta and retribution,Taoism modest retreat as well as water.It mainly resulted from the convergence of three religions, Neo-Confucianism's deep influence and Huizhou Merchants' circumstances.Confucianism nourished Huizhou merchants' mind,Buddhism and Taoism became the grand medicine to cure their soul.Blending of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism could solve lots of problems of Huizhou merchants' mind and soul.So it can be said that Huizhou merchants were not only Confucian merchants,but also Buddhism and Taoism merchants.
