Abstract
Objective:To identify the present state of non volatile organic chemical pollutants in the source water and the drinking water from Huai River in N city, and their harms to the people's health. Methods:XAD 2 resin was used to absorb chemical pollutants in the source water and the tap water. The mice were infected by injecting the pollutants into their abodminal cavities and then were micronucleus rate and seed deformity rate were determined. Results:In 0.1 ml/10 g dye Posison(toxin)(about 100 L/kg the source water chlorinated water and the water of distribution network for five days),micronucleus rate and seed deformity rate were significantly higher than that in normal group( P 0.05 and P 0.01).Conclusions:The chlorinated water and the water of distribution network from the lower N section of Huai River may lead to increased micronucleus rate and seed deformity rate of mice. The chlorinated water and the water of distribution network from N section of Huai River may have some genotoxicity to mice.
