Abstract
Objective Mixtures of different doses of midazolam and fentanyl were used for the sedation in local anesthesia; Then the changes of circulatory and respiratory systems, sedative effects and adverse reactions were observed to determine the best combination of two drugs and provide an evidence and reference for clinical application of this method. Methods 400 patients were randomly divided into 4 groups with 100 cases in each group and they were received different doses of drug combinations composed of midazolam and fentanyl, respectively. The monitoring indicators were recorded at administration time and after administration. Results For all the 4 groups of patients, the mean arterial pressure(MAP),heart rate(HR),respiration rate(RR),peripheral oxygen saturation(SpO2) decreased in varying degrees and OAA/S scores were also decreased, and they all had high forgetting rates. There was no significant difference in complication rate of different groups. Conclusion Appropriate doses of midazolam combined with fentanyl for local anesthesia have advantages of good calming effect, high forgetting rate, minor impact on circulatory and respiratory function and fewer postoperative complications, and it is an ideal auxiliary drug for sedation.
