The correlation between the CYP2J2~*7 gene polymorphism and coronary heart disease in Chinese Han population.

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the correlation between the polymorphism of CYP2J2*7 and coronary heart disease(CHD) in Chinese Han population.Methods The genotype was analyzed with polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphlism(PCR-RFLP) in CHD group(n=347) and control group(n=355).Direct sequencing was applied in random samples for genotype confirmation.Results(1) The frequencies of GT/TT were 9.51% and 5.07% in CHD group and control group,respectively,with significant difference in distribution(P=0.02,OR=1.88,95%CI: 1.08~3.27).(2) Although no significant difference was revealed in GT/TT distribution in male population between the two groups(P=0.18),significant difference was revealed in females(P=0.04).Conclusion There is significant correlation between CYP2J2*7 and CHD in the Chinese Han female population.
