Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of telmisartan on microalbuminuria in patients with mild-to-moderate hypertension.Method Total 56 cases with mild-to-moderate hypertension of positive microalbuminuria were given telmisartan step-down treatment.Microalbuminuria were compared before and 6 months after antihypertensive therapy. Results After treatment of 2,4,8 weeks, systolic and diastolic blood pressure of 56 hypertension patients obviously decreased(P0.01).Meanwhile,after six months of telmisartan treatment, the level of microalbuminuria also decreased obviously(P0.01).Conclusion Besides having good hypotensive effect, telmisartan still can effectively reduce the hypertension microalbuminuria level.
