Abstract
Objective: To explore the clinical efficacy and safety of montelukast plus chuankezhi in adjunctive treatment of child bronchiolitis. Methods: 70 cases of child bronchiolitis who were treated in pediatrics department of our hospital from September 2010 to March 2012 were randomly divided into treatment group(n=35) and control group(n=35) according to the order of admission. All the patients were given comprehensive treatment including fight infection, smoothing asthma spasm, oxygen, calm, the treatment group was treated with montelukast orally,4 mg per day,1 time per night,as well as chuankezhi injection orally, half each time, bid. After treatment for 7 days, the clinical efficacy was observed and compared, and all the cases of outpatient were followed-up for 3 months, the recurrence of wheeze was observed during the period. Results: After treatment for 7 days, the total effective rates in treatment group and control group were respectively 97.1% and 80.0%,which was statistically higher in treatment group(X2=7.83,P0.05).The average continuance time of symptoms and signs in treatment groups was significant lower than those in control group(P0.05).The recurrence number in treatment group was significantly lower than that in control group during the follow-up(P0.05).There was no severe complications occurred in the two groups. Conclusions: Montelukast combined with chuankezhi for the adjuvant treatment of child bronchiolitis can significantly improve the clinical symptoms, shorten the hospital stays.Because montelukast can control chronic airway inflammation caused by capillary bronchitis, and chuankezh can strengthen respiratory resistance ability and reduce the respiratory tract infection repeatedly,so it is effective for preventing the the recurrent asthma attack after bronchiolitis.
