The Phase IV Clinical Observation Study of Shenkang Injection on Chronic Renal Failure

Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of Shenkang injection on chronic renal failure in clinic generally.Methods The phase IV clinical observation study was carried out in 53 hospitals.2 200 chronic renal failure patients were enrolled and were given 60-100 mL Shenkang injection which was dissolved in 200 to 300 mL 10% glucose solution(5% glucose solution/0.9% sodium chloride injection)once a day.Its efficacy and safety would be evaluated after treatment for 2 to 4 weeks.The patients who had the better efficacy would be followed up for 1 to 3 months.Results After treatment,the clearance rate of Scr and Ccr of the patients were improved significantly(P 0.05).The overall effective rate of chronic renal failure was 73.05% and the overall effective rate of Chinese medical symptoms achieved 98.00%.The Ccr and Scr of the follow-up patients kept steady.Conclusion The Shenkang injection is effective and safe for the treatment of chronic renal failure.
